April 14th Schenley Plaza Scholastic Chess Tournament

Our chess tournament was small but mighty. On Saturday, April 14th, four chess competitors battled it out on the lawn at Schenley under the big tent. With the Cathedral of Learning and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh watching them, the kids, ranging from five years old to eight years old, played three simulating rounds with Steven Okonkwo of St. Edmund’s Academy winning the 1st place trophy.
